Procedure Regarding Telephonic Appearances
in DCSS Cases
If you want to request a telephonic appearance in a DCSS case, you must file
form FL-679
at least TWELVE court days prior to the scheduled hearing. You must ensure that you also notify all interested parties of your request for a telephonic appearance.
Due to the fact that the other interested parties in the case may file an opposition to the telephonic appearance the court will hold the request until the time period for the opposition has expired [The opposition must be filed at least EIGHT court days prior to the hearing].
SEVEN days prior to the hearing, your request and any opposition will be submitted to the appropriate Judicial Officer.
Once the Judicial Officer reviews the file, the Request will either be granted or denied. You will be notified via telephone of the Judicial Officer's Order.
