All civil
actions are heard by the Judicial Officer originally assigned to the
matter for all purposes.
The Judicial
Officer assigned upon the opening of the case hears all case management
conferences, motions for consolidation, severance, bifurcation,
intervention, pretrial conference, coordination, change of venue,
consolidation, to advance or continue trial, motions in limine, motions
for a new trial or to set aside and vacate a judgment pursuant to
Code of
Civil Procedure Section 663, motions to stay judgments, motions to tax
costs after trial, and proceedings to settle any statement on appeal.
All
Departments are open from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm
Motions,
excluding ex parte motions, are set at various time and days. To
schedule a hearing for an unlimited civil, family law, probate, or limited
civil matter, you must obtain pre-approval by calling
(559) 582-1010 x 3078.
